From Burnout to Resilience Coaching

I didn’t start out as a resilience coach. Instead, I began as someone who was driven, ambitious, and constantly “on.” Eventually, I found myself closer to burnout than I’d ever imagined.

Like many high‑achievers, I believed that pushing harder, saying yes to everything, and never slowing down was the price of success. Over time, this mindset left me exhausted, stressed, and disconnected from the joy I once felt in my work. Then, when I began to change my mindset, everything shifted.

Through NLP, coaching and deep self‑reflection, I learned how to:

  • Recognise the beliefs that were keeping me stuck.
  • Set boundaries without guilt.
  • Protect my energy instead of depleting it.

As a result, that personal transformation inspired me to become a resilience and mindset coach for professionals who don’t want to choose between success and wellbeing.

Not the polished version, but the real one

This is the story filled with detours, heartbreaks, and quiet triumphs. Above all, it is the one that taught me how to change my mindset, lower stress levels, and ultimately prevent burnout by building lasting, compassionate resilience.

When I first came to the UK, I wasn’t just looking for a job. In fact, I was searching for purpose to do meaningful work, think critically, and make a real impact. Defence intelligence felt like the right fit. After university, I spent 14 years as an Intelligence Information Consultant, working in high‑pressure environments and closing complex international deals built on trust, precision, and discretion.

For years, I ran on adrenaline in the fast‑paced world of defence sales. Constant travel, high‑stakes negotiations, and relentless ambition were my norm until I realised I was trading presence for progress.

While closing a deal in Paris, I missed my son’s first day at nursery. At the same time, I was going through IVF, still pushing hard as the “perfect” wife and professional. That became a wake‑up call.

My success had come at the cost of balance. I chose to shift my mindset, redefine my boundaries, and rebrand myself with purpose.

That, right there, is power.

When my husband became seriously ill at the peak of my career, caregiving collided with the emotional weight of stepping away from work. That chapter deepened my belief: resilience is key to enduring and evolving.
